Sinister in Character: Complaints

(to be read with a british accent)

When I was a little boy I thought the single thing that matter in life was to be loved.

Later, growing up as a teenager, I reflected upon a different notion, a new undeniable fact:

Tits.

The world revolves around tits. This was a meaningful truth for me for a while.

But, as the years went by, I couldn’t help noticing new evidence and a new force overruling the previous ones. This, of course, is money. It can buy tits, make tits grow, make tits disappear; it is capable of managing any tit-related issue, any being-loved issue or pretty much anything else.

A fetish is an object, a thing, which represents something superior, meaningful or powerful, thus the article becomes an object of adoration. Fetishism is very common in today’s human sexual relationships; for example, lots of people are sexually obsessed with feet, as for them it represents intercourse, genitalia or love.

Now we have “the one fetish”, yes, just like the “one ring, to rule them all”. This one fetish represents everything you’ve ever dreamed of, every desire, more often people fantasize with money than with sex*.

What happens when we concentrate potentially everything in the world into one particular fetish? An abstract cipher, a piece of paper… let it linger for some ten human generations, and what you’ve got?

Well… we’ve got ourselves a fetishist society, and we were all born in it, and we are all crazy as hell, from top to bottom, mentally deranged and buying ten thousand dollar purses (add up 5 hours of TV per kid per day).

I only hope for a wiser alien civilization to put this sick dog to sleep.
